How to Play a DVD

Unfortunately Windows 10 doesn’t include the MPEG DVD codec and we here at Falcon try not to install anything that is not absolutely necessary, so that your machine runs as fast as it can. If you need to play a DVD please just follow the steps below.

Step 1
Click here to go to the download page for VLC.
Step 2
Click on the “Download VLC” button.


Step 3
Download and once the download is complete execute the VLC installer.

Step 4
If you have UAC enabled then you will need to Click “Yes”.


Step 5
Select your language then Click “OK”.


Step 6
Click “Next”.


Step 7
Agree to the license by Clicking “Next”.


Step 8
The default options are fine. Click “Next”.


Step 9
The Default Install path is normally fine Click “Install”.


Step 10
Once the install completes just Click “Finish”.


Step 11
Uncheck “Allow metadata network access” and “Regularly check for VLC updates”. Then Click “Continue”.


Step 12
Now Finally to open the DVD Click on the “Media” menu. Then Click “Open Disc”.


Step 13
Make sure your DVD drive is selected then Click “Play”. Now all you have to do is kick back and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
